清晨天色未亮、眾人睡夢正酣時，供應台北人一日所需的中央市場早已人聲鼎沸。貨物包羅萬象，蔬菜水果、雞鴨魚肉一樣不少，中盤商為了趕赴民眾早市採買批貨準備，拍賣聲此起彼落。本片在當年疑因暴露過多市場髒亂面，而未獲播出。

When Taipei is still quiet and asleep, trucks after trucks emerge in the dark with fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood and meat. The film offers a glimpse into the lively hustle and bustle of the Market in the 1970s.

不停運轉的齒輪配著蒸汽黑煙，老火車頭穿梭在阿里山間運送著山間木材，在臺灣交通發展史上佔有不可或缺的重要地位。火車頭從美國俄亥俄州遠渡重洋，穿越一個又一個蜿蜒隧道，忽明忽暗，記錄下了阿里山的沿途風光。

A record of aging steam locomotives transporting timber along the old Alishan railway. The trains, brought to Taiwan from Ohio, USA, relentlessly climb the 2000 meter mountains, in and out of tunnels, and passing through stunning scenery.

大溪位於南桃園山脈交接處，依傍大漢溪河階而有水利之便，古時因產銷樟腦、茶葉等作物而繁榮，文風鼎盛更造就不少秀才舉人。老街上留存至今的街廓古宅，見證了時代的興衰，伴隨著流淌的溪流，持續訴說黃金年代的記憶。

High on a table-top mountain, south of Taoyuan is Daxi. Once renowned for producing camphor and tea, it became a center for trade and governance. Traces of its glorious history can still be found in the old streets.
