《共和國》是一場騷動。一次政變。一把利刃。森林的細語和電子樂的海嘯。製片廠拆到一半的布景。劇院的自旋。憑空造鎮的野心。流亡的國度。一架反照觀眾內心渴望的本我機器。北藝中心將打通「大劇院」與「藍盒子」兩個劇院空間，成為一座偌大的「超級大劇院」迎接盧卡斯．塔沃柯夫斯基（Łukasz Twarkowski）的獨立建國。他將率領一幫藝術家，動員超過百人，在此成立一座柏拉圖致力將之驅逐的《共和國》。
《共和國》在超級大劇院構建了一個微型的烏托邦，裡面有廚房、酒吧、桑拿房、紐奧良拖車、太空船、看台，以及配有DJ台和舞池的主舞臺。長達六小時的沉浸式體驗，邀請觀眾穿越三個階段，從旁觀者變身為共和國的公民。

那麼，為什麼不能山寨一個更好的現實，作為想像的逃逸路線？哪怕稍縱即逝，哪怕僅限一座場館——
導演盧卡斯．塔沃柯夫斯基（Łukasz Twarkowski）的願景來到台灣，允諾了長達六小時的沉浸式臨時自治區。
在此，你可以花費一整個小時迷路，一整個小時吃食、生活，一整個小時觀賞影像的迷幻。
最後，將全身心投入長時間的跳舞，在地理時空之外，流亡和移民，體驗入境、通關，終於成為建國元老一份子的過程。
盧卡斯．塔沃柯夫斯基（Łukasz Twarkowski）風格深受電影語言影響，尤其在運用現場即時攝影（live video）與影像剪接技巧方面極具創新性，使劇場成為一種「即時電影製作現場」。這種方式不僅讓觀眾得以窺見劇場背後的「製作機器」，同時也讓敘事呈現出多重視角、碎片化與去線性化的質地。
盧卡斯出身於波蘭，是當代歐洲劇場界備受矚目的導演之一，以其獨特的多媒體實驗風格與突破傳統敘事框架的創作手法，在國際劇壇掀起波瀾。他的作品往往融合影像、音樂、實境錄像、裝置藝術與表演，並在虛實之間模糊觀眾與演員的界線，挑戰劇場的定義與觀演關係，成為新世代劇場語言的重要代表，曾於立陶宛與波蘭兩地受訓與發展。他早期的創作多以重新詮釋經典文本為主，如對《哈姆雷特》與《浮士德》等文學作品的當代表達，但逐漸發展出屬於他自己的語彙與實驗美學。
盧卡斯．塔沃柯夫斯基( Łukasz Twarkowski )在其作品《共和國》嘗試彌平差異，宣示信仰就是人們眼前看見、體會的東西、靈啟就出現在每一次搖擺身體的韻律裡，不公平不正義，因為各行其是，如果人們同在一起，就能熬煮出和平的滋味，像一碗甜菜根湯，溫柔且暖和，人人都能享用。
盧卡斯找來世界各地的藝術家一起進入森林，這些藝術家由公開甄選而來，來自世界各地，流動性別，年邁青嫩，或知名或非主流，但抱持共同的勇氣和希望，因此願意投身在正式演出前，盧卡斯口中的「一起度過一年的故事」的社會實驗；他們置身於一個獲得基本收入保障、沒有網路，在建立典型社經結構之外的社群的同時，他們也必須意識到自己正在創作，他們獨自的、共同的所經歷與拍攝的一切，都將成為素材，他們是體驗者也是創作者，最後也會變成舞臺的表演者。
《共和國》是 盧卡斯的重大轉折，一場真切的夢境，如霧如真，他說：「如果我們都做著同一個夢，它就成了現實。」

觀眾的每一個選擇、每一次互動，都將實時影響當晚「共和國」的樣貌與氛圍。沒有預設的標準答案，沒有必須扮演的既定角色，只有共同探索與集體創造的無限可能。劇院的演員、電影的近鏡頭，視覺藝術的空間美學和移動的觀眾，結合來自森林公社生活的真實錄像，通過現場直播、剪輯、解構和重建。影像及音樂流水般通過觀眾的眼睛及耳朵，找到了另一幅景觀的出海口，奇異的體驗在兩者之間高速交換。

《共和國》歡迎不安於室的人們、憤怒和狂喜交雜的人們，甚至歡迎一陣狂風闖入，它會發生六小時，沒有一刻是一模一樣的六小時，可以狂舞、可以流淚、可以迷路，當然，人們也可以選擇靜靜坐著，遠遠看著演前的一切發生與不發生。而那，都會帶來前所未有的體驗與夢想——我們值得創造並享受一個更好的世界。

盧卡斯．塔沃柯夫斯基（Łukasz Twarkowski）
1983年出生於波蘭，是一位結合劇場與視覺藝術的多媒體表演創作者。2011年，塔沃柯夫斯基以導演身份，執導了由Anka Herbut編劇、Bartosz Porczyk主演的《Farnielli》，正式踏入劇場界。他深受猶太作家扎爾曼．格拉多夫斯基（Zalman Gradowski）及波蘭電影導演克里斯多夫．奇士勞斯基（Krzysztof Kieślowski）影響。然而，他卻不以純粹的文字或影像作為媒材，而是貪婪地運用多媒體表演試圖捕捉當代雜駁的生活經驗與訊息亂流，如擴增實境般，拓展真實的邊界。 其作品《Rohtko》受哲學家韓炳哲著作《山寨：中國式解構》啟發，質疑西方藝術對原真性的迷戀；《The Employees》以前衛科幻美學，藉一艘太空船上的人類和仿生人，托出關於工作、存在、情感與人機關係的反思；《洛基斯》（LOKIS）疊合一篇小說和兩個真實事件，針對「恐懼」和「不可控性」進行微觀的研究；《Black Sun》轉譯克里斯蒂娃（Julia Kristeva）的同名著作，在難以創造的絕對深暗中，將觀眾引入靜謐憂鬱的冥河。
這段體驗他稱之為「成為你自己的螢幕」。考慮到當代的影像氾濫與過曝，或許也是「成為你自己的墳墓」。 當代人類已不能豁免於影像的侵擾，可是對塔沃柯夫斯基而言，「動態影像只是運動的幻覺。」即便以高幀數來拍攝，在第23幀和第24幀之間發生的斷裂，仍然神秘而漆黑。這些黑洞創造出連續性的幻覺，給予藝術家巨大的空間。

【About the Performance】
Respublika is a commotion, a coup, a sharp sword, the whisper of the forest and tsunami in techno music, the half-dismantled film studio set, the self-rotation of a theatre, the ambition to build a town out of thin air, the realm for the exiles, and the machine of reflecting audience’s inner desire. Taipei Performing Arts Center will connect its Grand Theater and Blue Box to form the massive-scale Super Theater for the independent nation built by Łukasz Twarkowski, who leads a band of artists and mobilizes over a hundred of people to establish the “Respublika” (republic) which Plato would have endeavored to expel. The concept comes from “The Pavlov Republic” in the late 18th Century, where its founder, a catholic priest, gathers 800 peasants to form a community with its own army, currency, theatre, school, and some kind of medical healthcare system. As a utopia unmaterialized, “The Pavlov Republic” still provides an admirable inspiration. When humans face pandemic threats, with assurance abolished and authority invalidated, life becomes more suspicious than ever and suddenly finds it in a matrix-like world of flooded images. The pursuit of freedom thus brings more suffering. Since when have we lived in a future which has already happened?
Łukasz continues with the question: what will happen if we can forget about work for a whole year?
For the founding of Respublika, Łukasz interviewed over a hundred of artists from theatres across Europe. The final group, 15 people in total, included actors, composers, set designers, costume designers, playwrights and DJs, who joined Łukasz in this experimental project to create an isolated community in a Lithuanian forest. Eventually, the experiment failed with the dissolution of the community; and another few years later, since the world became increasingly chaotic, the community members finally realized the significance of what they experienced during that time, so they agreed to produce a stage performance to conclude a possible future for humans and its existential purpose.
Respublika builds a microscopic utopia at Super Theatre, where you can find kitchen, bar, sauna, New Orleans trailer, spaceship, spectator stand, and its main stage consisting of a DJ panel and dance floor. The 6-hour immersive experience invites audience to go through its three parts from purely spectators to citizens of Respublika. The first part adopts the form of an exhibition, allowing visitors free access to the whole space so they can know better about the geographical layout of Respublika. The second part is a combination of live performance and video installation. Visitors are given two choices: to watch it on the big screen or to experience it in the room. When the framework is completely taken down, the audience will find themselves in the “third space,” a mixture of screens and rooms, characterized with a strange feeling of the juxtaposition of virtual illusion and reality. The third part is a grand party: with the standing walls fully dismantled and neon lights descending, Respublika hands the scepter of storytelling back to the audience to finish the “I want" sentence: I want faith. I want freedom. I want to dream. I want love. I want the tiny hope at the bottom of Pandora’s box. DJs, actors, and the audience begin to dance and move instinctively. The durational dance seems to produce nothing and goes against the values of an effort-driven capitalist society.
However, your hard work does not always bring you what you desire, so people choose to rave as a resistance to the current helpless situation and travel back to the ancient fantasy. The artist describes the future world in past tense as if it has already happened, connecting to the immense dream-realm via techno, rave, and radio art. The DJs and performers play the music nonstop to lure those trapped in reality, while the all-night rave party makes Respublika a temporary shelter. The paradise in the dream will eventually reach reality, turning the most splendid Garden of Eden into hell. The melody of Respublika stops playing before it becomes distorted. At that moment, we are in an absolute trance to enjoy absolute freedom.

On June 7, 2025 (Saturday), following the final performance, Taipei’s electronic music landmark Pawnshop takes over for the Respublika After Party from 23:50. Continuing the immersive dreamscape of Respublika, this exceptional three-hour DJ set invites all Ravens to join an extraordinary rave celebration. Hypnotic electronic beats will radiate from the DJ booth, unleashing the resonant power of sharp, cold electronic music as the revelry carries on into the early hours.
The main stage will transform into a massive dance floor, accommodating more than a thousand partygoers. Dance wildly, jump freely, and move without restraint! Dull dictators hate dancing, but the joy sparked by music and movement fuels the engine of every social movement and revolution. It empowers people to persist with unwavering determination. Late-night Respublika will be a sanctuary for all Ravens to keep the energy alive.

Director｜Łukasz Twarkowski
Łukasz Twarkowski (b. 1983) is a creator of multimedia performances combining theatre and visual arts. He places his projects in the context of extending reality through multimedia. A crucial element of Twarkowski’s creative work is investigating the ability and limitations of theatre as a medium and tool of communication. By permanent deconstruction of narratives, questioning the fixed habits of the audience and by meaningful usage of new media, Twarkowski creates a new, original language of stage performance based on multimedia and, more widely, digital technologies. In using these, Twarkowski analyses and observes increasingly complex relations between the Real, the Symbolic and the Imagined. His projects are being programmed at the most important festivals and stages of Europe, among others: Holland Festival, Odéon - Théâtre de l’Europe, Ruhrtriennale, Festival de Otoño de Madrid, Münchner Kammerspiele. Currently he is an associated artist of Onassis Stegi in Athens.

- 除臨櫃辦理退還現金外，其餘退票方式將在收到申請後，最遲10個工作日內轉帳至所提供存摺帳戶。

- 登入OPENTIX＞會員＞訂單紀錄，點入要查詢的訂單編號內即可查看付款方式。
- 票券入場聯，票價旁的英文代號C為現金付款，ATM為ATM轉帳，V／M／J／AE／AP／GP為刷卡付款，B為向主辦單位購票票券。
※注意事項
- 如購票時使用文化幣或點數折抵，退票時，系統將退還折抵之全額文化幣，並於扣除退票手續費後，優先退還點數，再將剩餘款項退回。特別提醒，如退票時（含換、補票及因節目異動之退票），抵用之文化幣、點數已逾使用效期，OPENTIX將無法以任何形式進行返還、展延。

- 刷卡購票將退票至原購票信用卡，約7-10個工作日可向發卡行查詢到該筆款項；現金及ATM轉帳購票，選擇線上或郵寄辦理，約10個工作日匯款至你指定之帳戶。

- 郵寄退票：請將存摺影本（刷卡購票無須提供）、票券、姓名電話等聯絡資訊於退票期限前（郵戳為憑），掛號郵寄至「100012臺北市中正區中山南路21-1號 OPENTIX 退票小組收」。退票郵寄前請記下票面之訂單編號，並請妥善保存掛號收據。
※郵寄退票之退票手續費發票將預設存入OPENTIX會員載具，如有其他需求，請郵寄後致電客服中心(02)3393-9888。
※以ATM轉帳或現金付款之票券，將在收到郵寄退票申請後，最遲10個工作日內轉帳至所提供之存摺帳戶；以刷卡付款之票券，退票款項將退還至原刷信用卡。
