【2025 衛武營管風琴音樂節】簡文彬&韋恩．馬歇爾&高雄市交響樂團《天才群像》

管風琴音樂節第二場音樂會將由衛武營藝術總監簡文彬率領高雄市交響樂團與英國管風琴家韋恩．馬歇爾合作，演出兩首20世紀管風琴與交響樂團的代表作，分別是法國作曲家杜普雷《g小調交響曲》和比利時作曲家容根《協奏交響曲》，巧合的是，這兩首作品均創作於1926年前後，又同年於1928年舉行首演；都是典型交響曲四個樂章的形式，杜普雷採用接近古典時期的曲式，容根則更多呼應巴洛克的風格；配器上均帶有法國音樂的色彩，但也各自展現獨特的音樂語彙。管風琴化身為另一個樂團，與交響樂團時而競技、時而合作，是聽覺上雙倍的震撼與享受。

The second concert of the Weiwuying Organ Festival will feature Weiwuying's Artistic Director CHIEN Wen-pin leading the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with British organist Wayne MARSHALL, performing two masterpieces of 20th-century organ and orchestra works: DUPRÉ's Symphony in G minor and JONGEN's Symphonie Concertante. Both works, composed around 1926 and premiered in 1928, follow the typical four-movement symphonic form. DUPRÉ's piece draws on Classical structures, while JONGEN's work reflects more Baroque elements. Both compositions exhibit French musical colors, while each presents unique musical languages. The organ becomes another ensemble, competing and collaborating with the orchestra, providing double the auditory thrill and enjoyment.

指揮｜簡文彬

1967年出生於臺北，1988年國立藝專（今國立臺灣藝術大學）鍵盤組畢業，維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學指揮碩士學位。1998至2004年成為知名美國音樂家伯恩斯坦所創立的日本太平洋音樂節駐節指揮；2001至2007年為國家交響樂團音樂總監；1996至2018年擔任德國萊茵歌劇院駐院指揮長達22年，並於2011年成為歌劇院終身指揮，是歐洲歌劇院中首位亞洲指揮獲得此項殊榮。2014至2016年擔任國立臺灣交響樂團藝術顧問。2014年9月獲頒第十八屆國家文藝獎。目前為國家表演藝術中心衛武營國家藝術文化中心藝術總監。

Conductor｜CHIEN Wen-pin

CHIEN Wen-pin was born in 1967 in Taipei. He received an undergraduate degree from the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and a Master' s degree from the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. From 1998 to 2004, he was Resident Conductor at Japan's Pacific Music Festival, founded by Leonard BERNSTEIN, and he became Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan in 2001, where he remained until 2007.  In 1996, he began his 22-year career as Kapellmeister of Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf Duisburg, Germany). From 2014 to 2016, CHIEN served as artistic advisor to the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In 2014, he was honored with the National Award for Arts. Currently CHIEN is the Executive and Artistic Director of National Performing Arts Center - National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying).

管風琴｜韋恩．馬歇爾

來自英國的指揮家、管風琴演奏家和鋼琴家——韋恩．馬歇爾，因為在指揮與鍵盤樂器演奏的精湛演出才能而聞名於世。2014至2020年曾任科隆西德廣播電台管絃樂團首席指揮的馬歇爾，擅長於蓋希文、伯恩斯坦及其他20世紀作曲家的作品詮釋，曾與柏林愛樂、布拉格廣播愛樂… 等樂團分別演出不同形式的蓋希文《波奇和貝絲》。而作為管風琴演奏家，他熟稔極其豐富的各式管風琴作品，演奏足跡遍及世界各地，包含洛杉磯的華特迪士尼音樂廳、費城的金梅爾表演藝術中心、及英國伯明罕音樂廳等。馬歇爾曾於2021年獲頒大英帝國勳章殊榮；馬歇爾亦於美國西雅圖室內樂團擔任該團的副總監。

Organ｜Wayne MARSHALL

British conductor, organist and pianist Wayne MARSHALL is world-renowned for his musicianship and versatility on the podium and at the keyboard. He served as Chief Conductor of WDR Funkhaus Orchestra Cologne from 2014 to 2020, became Principal Guest Conductor of Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi in 2007 and is a celebrated interpreter of GERSHWIN, BERNSTEIN and other 20th century composers. Recent conducting highlights include his critically-acclaimed debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker, a widely-praised new production Porgy and Bess at Theater an der Wien, a concert version of GERSHWIN's Porgy and Bess with the Prague Radio Philharmonic and UK touring with Chineke! Orchestra and BBC Singers. As organ recitalist, he has an exceptionally varied repertoire and performs worldwide to an audience of millions. He gave a spectacular online recital at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg in the 2019/20 season and future plans include returns to Philharmonie de Paris and Royal Albert Hall. Throughout 2018 he played a key role in leading the Leonard BERNSTEIN centenary celebrations including BERNSTEIN's Mass with Orchestre de Paris at the Philharmonie de Paris. He also made his debut with Zurich Philharmonie in an all-BERNSTEIN program and conducted the rarely-performed White House Cantata in Utrecht with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. He conducted the first performance of the highly-acclaimed Chineke! Orchestra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Recent notable organ recitals in the 2019/20 season included Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles; Kimmel Centre in Philadelphia and Symphony Hall in Birmingham. He is a regular performer at the BBC Proms and appeared in the 2012 season as organist and was co-presenter of the BARENBOIM Prom in 2014. MARSHALL was honored with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2021. In 2004 he received an Honorary Doctorate from Bournemouth University and became Fellow of the Royal College of Music in 2010. Since its inception MARSHALL has also joined the Board of Directors of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra.

對一個城市而言，有專屬的樂團是難得珍貴的。高雄市交響樂團是一個年輕有活力的樂團，與國際級指揮與名家大師們合作共鳴，勇於嘗試多元型態的演出，古典與跨界同時是樂團發展的主軸，為樂迷創造更多優質的音樂饗宴，也培育無數表演與欣賞的種子，延展古典音樂創新的鴻翅。

1981年成立，2009年與高雄市國樂團基金會整併為「財團法人高雄市愛樂文化藝術基金會」。2009年起迄今，擔任高雄春天藝術節重要演出角色，成功打響「高雄春天藝術節草地音樂會」品牌；近十年來，不斷地迎接國際各方的深礪與琢磨，創造出許多與國內外名家聯演的系列音樂會；2018年底，參與衛武營國家文化藝術中心的啟用典禮演出，未來在這座音樂廳中，高雄市交響樂團將扮演更多重要的角色。

在國際舞台上，樂團不斷獲邀至多個國際城市演出，逐步跨越城市與國界，以國際級樂團為自我提升與成長目標，堅定向前。

Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra (KSO)

Wherever there is music, there is you.

- A young orchestra which advances with determination

It is an asset for a city to have an orchestra of its own. Young and energetic, the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra (KSO) invites world-class conductors and masters for collaboration, and challenges itself by staging performances of diversified styles. The development of the orchestra focuses on both classical and crossover genres; it has not only created increasingly more high quality musical miscellanies for music enthusiasts but also planted numerous seeds for music appreciation and performance, contributing to the innovation of classical music.

The Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1981. It was merged with the Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra in 2009 as Kaohsiung Philharmonic Culture and Arts Foundation. Since 2009, the KSO has made considerable contribution in the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival, successfully promoting its grassland concerts. In the last decade, the KSO has collaborated with renowned local and international artists and music groups and staged numerous concert series. The end of 2018 marked the grand opening of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), where the KSO participated in the centers inauguration. KSO wishes to continue playing an important role in the centers concert hall.

The KSO has been invited to perform on international stages regularly. Reaching beyond city and country borders, the KSO advances steadily with the self-development goal of becoming an internationally acclaimed orchestra.
