Robinson is a real estate broker who lives in a hotel and dreams of escaping his life by buying a remote island he found online—Crusoe Island. He avoids marriage and keeps romantic entanglements at a distance. As his work and relationships fall apart, he becomes obsessed with starting a "second life." Lin Cheng-sheng's Robinson's Crusoe is a subtle, poetic portrait of modern loneliness—where order masks emptiness and dreams blur into digital fantasy.
