⼗⼋世紀初的西班⽛，正處於王朝更替與⽂化重組的歷史關鍵點。隨著哈布斯堡王朝讓位給法國波旁王室，西班⽛宮廷在政治、藝術與⾳樂⾵格上迅速轉型， 義⼤利風格⼤量湧⼊，並與本地深厚的宗教傳統與民間⾳樂語彙交織出獨特⾵貌。
而⾺德⾥與塞維亞的街頭仍流傳著佛朗明哥的節奏與安達盧西亞的吟唱，⽽教堂中則迴盪著莊嚴的管⾵琴聲響。 來自義⼤利的大件琴大師─史卡拉第 (Domenico Scarlatti) 在此背景下受聘於西班⽛宮廷，擔任葡萄⽛公主（後來的西班⽛王后）瑪麗亞·芭芭拉的鍵盤教師。
他在伊⽐利亞半島度過後半⽣，創作超過五百⾸⼤鍵琴奏鳴曲，許多作品洋溢西班⽛在地⾵格，融⼊了吉他分解和弦、舞曲節奏與強烈的地⽅⾊彩。
這些作品不僅是歐洲鍵盤⾳樂的⾼峰，更是西班⽛⽂化在鍵盤上的具象展現。
本場獨奏會聚焦於史卡拉蒂（D. Scarlatti）如何將西班牙的靈魂深植於琴鍵之中。這位義大利大師將當地的吉他掃弦、響板節奏與民間舞曲，高度內化為華麗且具戲劇張力的鍵盤語言，並與西班牙前輩卡巴尼列斯的傳統風格交相輝映。阮秀慈將引領聽眾穿梭於宮廷與伊比利街頭，感受那份揉合異國情調與強烈生命力的音樂景色。
他的奏鳴曲常帶有嚴謹形式與濃厚的西班⽛民族⾊彩，是⼗⼋世紀晚期最具代表性的西班⽛鍵盤⾳樂。 此次⾳樂會精選數⾸史卡拉第⾵格各異的奏鳴曲：從節奏鮮明的舞曲型作品如 K.492、K.239 與對位嚴謹的 K.87，描繪出⼀幅橫跨民間與宮廷、激情與冥想的西班牙鍵盤⾳樂風情。

《演奏者 Performer》
大鍵琴｜阮秀慈（旅法大鍵琴演奏家、巴黎高等音樂院大鍵琴碩士）
阮秀慈畢業於法國國立巴黎高等音樂院（CNSMDP）大鍵琴演奏與數字低音碩士班，是目前台灣唯一獲此學位的音樂家，並擁有巴黎市立音樂院 DEM 文憑與紐約市立大學大鍵琴演奏學士學位。 她長期致力於巴洛克音樂與歷史鍵盤樂器的研究與演奏，曾師事 Elisabeth Joyé、Olivier Baumont、Blandine Rannou 及 Masayuki Maki 等大鍵琴家。合作對象涵蓋歐洲多位古樂名家，包括巴洛克小提琴家 François Fernandez、Julien Chauvin，以及 Christine Plubeau、Marc Mauillon 等。 近年來，她多次受古樂復興先驅 Sigiswald Kuijken邀請，同台演出二重奏，並獲邀擔任比利時傳奇古樂團 La Petite Bande 錄製巴赫大鍵琴協奏曲之獨奏者。這不僅是她個人演奏生涯的重要里程碑，更是亞洲大鍵琴演奏家在國際古樂界極具意義的肯定。 她的演出足跡遍及歐、美、亞洲。法國《電報》譽其演奏為「國際級別」，荷蘭樂評 Jeanette Vergouwen-de Caluwe 則讚賞其「手感穩健，複調透明，數字低音演奏令人欽佩」。

At the beginning of the eighteenth century, Spain stood at a pivotal historical moment marked by dynastic transition and cultural transformation. As the Habsburg dynasty gave way to the French Bourbon monarchy, the Spanish court underwent a rapid shift in politics, the arts, and musical style. Italian influences flowed abundantly into the Iberian Peninsula, intertwining with deeply rooted religious traditions and rich vernacular musical languages to form a distinctive cultural landscape.
In the streets of Madrid and Seville, the rhythms of flamenco and the voices of Andalusian song continued to resonate, while in churches, the solemn sonorities of the organ filled vast sacred spaces. Within this context, the Italian keyboard master Domenico Scarlatti was appointed to the Spanish court as the keyboard tutor to the Portuguese princess/later Queen of Spain—Maria Barbara.
Spending the latter part of his life on the Iberian Peninsula, he composed more than five hundred harpsichord sonatas. Many of these works are imbued with Spanish local color, incorporating guitar-like broken chords, dance rhythms, and vivid regional character.
These sonatas stand not only as a pinnacle of European keyboard music, but also as a sonic embodiment of Spanish cultural identity translated onto the keyboard.
This recital focuses on how Scarlatti internalized the spirit of Spain within his music. The Italian master transformed elements such as guitar strumming, castanet rhythms, and folk dances into a highly refined and dramatic keyboard language. His works resonate alongside the earlier Spanish tradition represented by Juan Bautista José Cabanilles, creating a dialogue between inherited styles and newly absorbed influences.
Harpsichordist Ryan Hsiu-Tzu guides the audience through both courtly spaces and the streets of Iberia, revealing a musical landscape rich in exotic color and vibrant energy. Scarlatti’s sonatas often combine formal clarity with strong national character, representing one of the most distinctive voices in eighteenth-century Spanish keyboard music.
This program presents a selection of sonatas showcasing Scarlatti’s diverse styles—from rhythmically vivid, dance-like works such as K.492 and K.517, to the contrapuntally rigorous K.87—painting a musical panorama that spans folk and courtly worlds, passion and introspection within the soundscape of Spain.
Performer: Hsiu-Tzu Ryan
Hsiu-Tzu Ryan studied harpsichord and basso continuo at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where she obtained her Master’s degree. She also holds a Diplôme d’Études Musicales (DEM) from the CRR de Paris, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the City University of New York. She studied with Elisabeth Joyé, Olivier Baumont, Blandine Rannou and Masayuki Maki, and has performed with a number of leading figures in the early music field, including François Fernandez, Julien Chauvin, Christine Plubeau and Marc Mauillon. In recent years, she has been invited by Sigiswald Kuijken to appear in duo programmes, and to perform as harpsichord soloist with La Petite Bande in recordings and on tour in Bach’s harpsichord concertos.
