璀璨回歸──僅此一場，封存無法複製的芭蕾盛宴
自 2007 年起，「國際芭蕾舞星 Gala」即以「無法複製」的節目內容，成為台灣年度最受矚目的舞蹈盛事之一，更吸引海外舞迷專程來台朝聖。
頂尖國際舞星齊聚台北，帶來一場橫跨古典芭蕾殿堂與當代頂尖編舞的極致視覺饗宴。多部台灣、亞洲乃至世界首演作品齊聚一堂，是愛舞者以及表演藝術愛好者今年絕不可錯過的芭蕾盛事！
大師傳奇巨作‧台灣首演
台灣首演震撼登場特別引進被譽為荷蘭及全球當代芭蕾巨擘、已故編舞大師 Hans van Manen 於 1996 年創作的指標性經典《The Old Man and Me》。舞作展現了大師擅長刻劃人際關係、情感角力與幽默感的高超手腕，描繪一對男女之間複雜、微妙且充滿歲月痕跡的親密關係，結合了精準的戲劇張力、帶有自嘲的幽默感，以及 Van Manen 標誌性的簡練線條，絕對是本屆必看的當代舞作。
亞洲首演
引領當代現代芭蕾大師 David Dawson 引人入勝的《Four Seasons / Summer Duet》，搭配 Max Richter 重新編譯的經典韋瓦第音樂；以及編舞家 Tobias Praetorius 以布拉姆斯經典樂章編舞的《Neue Bahnen Pas de Deux》，音樂與舞蹈肢體產生緊密的對話，呈現充滿張力且細膩的情感流動，兩部指標性巨作「亞洲首演」。
世界首演‧見證歷史性一幕
《Thick Air Around Us》以作曲家及鋼琴家 Alexander McKenzie所創作的動人音樂為核心，並由編舞家 Antonio Russo 操刀編舞，為丹麥皇家芭蕾舞團主要舞者 Joseph Aumeer 量身創作，融合詩詞與舞蹈的作品，於本次 Gala「世界 Live 首演」。ㄧ同見證這位極具淺力、情感豐沛的明日之星，如何將深厚的古典功底，轉化為最純粹、獨特的個人身體語彙。
經典巨作‧滿足你對芭蕾的所有渴望
《The Kermesse in Bruges布魯日集市》第一幕雙人舞，為十九世紀丹麥芭蕾學派泰斗 August Bournonville 的經典浪漫喜劇舞劇，首次在台演出！舞作以輕快、充滿活力的獨特丹麥學派足尖與跳躍技巧著稱，完美勾勒出男女主角在喧囂集市中初遇時，那份羞怯、澎湃且洋溢純粹喜悅的青春愛戀，為台灣觀眾展現最純正的丹麥古典浪漫精神。
普羅高菲夫磅礡且情感細膩的傳奇樂章《羅密歐與茱麗葉》樓台會雙人舞，精選荷蘭已故當代編舞大師 Rudi van Dantzig 經典深情之作，跳脫傳統古典框架，以流暢而深具現代感的肢體線條，是芭蕾史上最令人動容的抒情雙人舞。
炫技必看的《海盜雙人舞》，充滿了令人摒息的超高難度技巧，是令人熱血沸騰的古典芭蕾必看名作。

Legendary Masterpieces by Great Choreographers
Taiwan Premiere
A highlight of this year’s Gala is the Taiwan Premiere of The Old Man and Me, a landmark work created in 1996 by the late Hans van Manen, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Dutch and international contemporary ballet.
Showcasing Van Manen’s unparalleled ability to explore human relationships, emotional tension, and subtle humor, the ballet portrays the complex, nuanced intimacy between a man and a woman. Combining precise dramatic structure, self-deprecating wit, and the choreographer’s signature minimalist aesthetic, this contemporary masterpiece is an absolute must-see.
Asian Premieres
Experience two remarkable contemporary ballet works making their Asian Premiere:
David Dawson’s Four Seasons / Summer Duet, set to Max Richter’s reimagining of Vivaldi’s iconic score, offers a captivating fusion of movement and music.
Alongside it, Tobias Praetorius’ Neue Bahnen Pas de Deux, choreographed to the music of Brahms, creates an intimate dialogue between body and sound, revealing a rich emotional landscape filled with tension, sensitivity, and poetic beauty.
Together, these two acclaimed works represent some of the finest achievements in contemporary ballet today.
World Premiere — Witness a Historic Moment
Thick Air Around Us receives its World Live Premiere at this year’s Gala.
Created by choreographer Antonio Russo and set to an evocative original score by composer and pianist Alexander McKenzie, the work was specially created for Joseph Aumeer, Principal Dancer of the Royal Danish Ballet.
Combining poetry and dance, the piece showcases Aumeer’s remarkable artistry, transforming his profound classical foundation into a deeply personal and distinctive movement language. Join us in witnessing the emergence of one of ballet’s most promising young stars in this historic premiere.
Timeless Classics — Fulfilling Every Ballet Lover’s Dream
The Act I Pas de Deux from The Kermesse in Bruges, a beloved romantic comedy ballet by nineteenth-century Danish ballet master August Bournonville, will be performed in Taiwan for the very first time. Renowned for its buoyant footwork, effortless jumps, and unmistakable Danish style, the work beautifully captures the youthful excitement, shyness, and joy of first love amid the lively atmosphere of a bustling marketplace.
The Balcony Pas de Deux from Romeo and Juliet, set to Prokofiev’s sweeping and emotionally charged score, features the deeply moving interpretation by the late Dutch choreographer Rudi van Dantzig. Departing from traditional classical conventions, the choreography employs fluid, contemporary movement to create one of ballet’s most touching and lyrical pas de deux.
No Gala would be complete without the dazzling Le Corsaire Pas de Deux, a spectacular display of virtuosity and breathtaking technical brilliance that continues to thrill audiences around the world.
This is a gala that brings together the finest examples of classical, neoclassical, and contemporary ballet. Only by experiencing it live can one truly appreciate the artistry, charisma, and emotional power of today’s leading ballet stars.
